OTJ: On The Job (2013)

From IMDB: Filipino crime thriller inspired by a real-life scandal in which prison inmates are temporarily released from prison to work as contract killers on behalf of politicians and high ranking military officials.
Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Joel Torre, Joey Marquez. Directed by Erik Matti
Come to think of it. This movie is not far from reality. It is happening. How prison inmates are being used as assassins and how the high ranking officials are being protected. And when you try to be clean and straight, sometimes it is you will suffer first. You just have to have the heart of a stone for you not to be affected.

Now this movie was able to portray just that. The screenplay was so good and the movie was well written i didn't know who will be the next target. It put me right at the edge of my seat. Director Erik Matti as well as the crew did an excellent job on the film. Each actors did justice to their own roles. Gerald Anderson was good in this film. If he will do another action movie, I will surely watch it. Same with Piolo Pascual who really suits his character. Tapat at Malinis. Joel Torre and same as with all other cast did exceptional job in the film.

Kudos to Joey Marquez who really made a connection in the film. My heart goes out to him who tried to be an honest law enforcer and because of that he stayed in the same rank for the longest time around.

After Asiong Salonga, this is the 2nd action film I've heard of (I'm six months too late.) in recent years. The Philippine Movie Industry concentrates on drama and horror films nowadays. I hope to see more action film with substance.  Its a MUST SEE FILM :)
